Job Description Summary

School of Arts and Sciences Computing at the University of Pennsylvania is seeking to hire a self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented temporary employee to assist with technology support for faculty and staff, in a mixed Mac / Windows computing environment.

This is a temporary position for 32 hours per week, and is a 9 month position. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are looking to get into Information Technology and to learn and develop skills to be competitive on the job market.

SAS Computing is the department of the School of Arts & Sciences that is responsible for supporting faculty, staff and students use of information technology. SAS Computing staff members work year-round to make sure our students, faculty, and staff have the technological tools they need for outstanding educational achievements in the Information Age.

Duties :

• Provide support for Macs, PCs and associated equipment. Install, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot software and hardware.
• Provide technical support to students, faculty and staff by e-mail, phone and in person.
• Provide technical support to students, faculty and staff for conference and classroom technologies.
• Demonstrate best practices with use of Enterprise Infrastructure including : Active Directory, Data Management / Ticketing systems
