New Tech Global is currently seeking an Enterprise Asset Management Technician for a drilling client in East Houston, TX.
Overview
The Enterprise Asset Management Technician is an Oracle specialist focusing on specific modules within the Oracle E-Business Suite of programs. The EAM Tech will provide technical expertise, records management, and data processing to support Oracle Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and hand maintenances systems as well as the other Oracle E-Business Suite modules. This position will control and maintain all incoming and outbound materials and products related to the fabrication facility.
Detailed Description
Coordinate the transfer of all material and equipment to designated work areas
Receive and inspect incoming materials and compare to the Purchase Order and Packing Slip to make sure they are acceptable
Responsible for the shipping and receiving of raw materials, components, and products. Ensure all delivered material is identified and placed in its assigned location.
Manage outbound / inbound operations to ensure that products are correctly prepared, packed and labeled, meet Company requirements, and that inventory transactions are accurately recorded for stock and inventory control.
Maintain and organize all materials in the yard for the fabrication shop, pull materials as requested and maintain traceability
Maintain shipping and receiving supplies as required
Administer Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes with Purchasing and Vendors
Operate overhead cranes and large forklifts to handle materials
Work alongside the Equipment Yard Supervisor, Rig-Up Yard Supervisors and other fabrication personnel such as fitters, welders, etc. to meet or exceed job requirements
Practice and enforce product traceability
Conduct Bi- Weekly inventory of raw material and report finding to the shop manager and purchaser.
Communicate with venders regarding outstanding material to understand and schedule potential delivery dates, keep Fabrication Shop Manager abreast of incoming and delayed material.
Review Mill Test Reports (MTR’s) for verification that they meet or exceed the current book of standards per the QMS and Manager written requests and upload documents to project folder.
Perform dimensional inspection of incoming products per the PO requirements.
Job Requirements
Ability to prepare reports, schedules, presentations, procedures, and process documents
Ability to read equipment-related documents, printouts, reports, and other written communication
Proven ability to successfully manage all incoming raw materials and products for the Fabrication Shop
Knowledge of structural steel, pipe, plates and various material grades
Ability to read Material Test Reports (MTR’s) and compare to the ASTM current book of standards for acceptance or rejection
Ability to learn and operate within the shop floor control and ERP software
Experience in creating and processing work orders, and using systems to track data
Ability to use tact and general good interpersonal skills when communicating with others
Ability to use organizational and planning skills
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to conduct and coordinate physical inventories
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding work related information and materials
Bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl occasionally during visits to field and operational work areas
Lift and carry 50 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfaces
See clearly and judge near and far distances to maintain awareness of, watch for and report ongoing work activities involving coworkers and third parties
Listen for unusual noises that signify equipment and machinery problems
Accurately recall information over short and long-term memory
Maintain spatial orientation and awareness to safely move around work environment with many moving objects
Stay alert and remain focused even during occasional extended work periods
Demonstrate clear communication skills and ability to promptly give, and follow directions
Proficiency with written and email communication including use of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and comfort navigating through different software applications.
Must be able to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
2+ years working experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
Previous experience with manufacturing and repair systems and processes

Preferred Qualifications
Advanced computer skills
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Asset Management
Basic knowledge of drilling equipment
Experience in Inventory control, familiar with structural steel and material test reports
Knowledge and familiarity with industry and quality standards (ISO, API, OSHA, AWS, ASQ)
