Toledo Clinic's Endocrinology Department is seeking a full-time Credentialed Medical Assistant or LPN to provide both clinical and clerical support in a busy medical office. The hours are M-TH (8-4 : 30). There are no late evenings, weekends or holidays and employee benefits are offered. Previous experience in a medical office is preferred and qualified candidates will have a current MA credential (RMA / CMA / CCMA) or an active OH LPN license.

Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex : RMA / CMA / CCMA). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistant will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.

General Summary :

Assist provider(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for provider, and performs various clerical duties.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities :

• Assist provider with patient care (i.e. : assisting with minor procedures / surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
• Escorting patients to exam room.
• Preparing exam rooms.
• Preparing patient for Drs. (i.e. : histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
• Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
• Administering injections.
• At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
• Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
• Follow up with lab work and / or x-rays.
• Various clerical duties (i.e. : answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned.
