MLD Studio is a growing landscape architecture firm specializing in commercial and multi-family design projects across 18 states. Position Overview

MLD is seeking a Licensed Landscape Architect with at least 5 years of professional experience in commercial development. This role is ideal for someone who brings both technical expertise and creative vision, and who is excited about helping MLD Studio expand its reach and reputation. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in planting design, irrigation design, code research, and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support commercial and multi-family landscape architecture projects from concept through construction.
  • Conduct municipal code research and integrate requirements into project designs.
  • Develop strong, regionally appropriate planting designs across diverse hardiness zones.
  • Review and interpret arborist reports, and prepare tree protection and disposition plans.
  • Manage projects of varying scales, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal team members to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Landscape Architect
  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with commercial development projects.
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks preferred (training available for the right candidate).
  • Strong understanding of planting design and irrigation design principles.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, communicate effectively, and self-direct.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Seniority level : Mid-Senior level
