This role offers a unique blend of office-based collaboration, field outreach, and regional travel, providing the opportunity to work directly with donors, community leaders, and a highly engaged board and campaign committee. The Major Gifts Officer will play a pivotal role in cultivating, securing, and stewarding major gifts, while partnering with seasoned consultants and the Director of Development to drive the campaign's success.

Essential Functions and Duties :

• Lead the strategic execution of a $12.5 million capital campaign, coordinating efforts with consultants, the Development Director, Board, and Campaign Committee.
• Manage a personal portfolio of major donors and prospects, including planned giving contributors, through in-person cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Develop and implement tailored donor engagement strategies while maintaining accurate records, timely acknowledgements, and revenue tracking in the donor database.
• Collaborate with the Development Director to research and prepare donor profiles, oversee campaign projections and budgets, and support overall fundraising strategy.
• Integrate major donor engagement into organizational events, coordinate donor-focused functions, and present regular progress updates to leadership.
• Stay informed about the organization's programs and broader food access issues to effectively communicate impact and inspire donor support.
