Job Summary :

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing the Registered Nurse Educator serves as a specialist in the design development provision evaluation and review of education while ensuring compliance with local state and federal regulatory agencies.

Hours :

40 hours per week Monday through Friday.

Day Shift

Essential Job Functions :

• Responsible for the coordination and provision of education
• Oversees develops and facilitates new hire and clinical orientation
• Develops and facilitates annual provider education
• Facilitates the center-based annual and ongoing education and competency validations
• Assures compliance with local state federal guidelines and regulations governing hospitals through collaborative communication with leadership
• Develops coordinates and documents computer-based learning assignments
• Oversees BLS ACLS and PALS certifications and programming
• Follows up with staff directly when educational components become due
• Meets with all new hire clinical staff to identify additional educational opportunities needed or requested
• Meets with clinical managers monthly to discuss educational opportunities and needs for the department
• Creates education for departments as needed
• Rounds regularly throughout the center to check-in with staff and provide educational opportunities
• Attends staff meetings and in-services and provides education as necessary
• Be available for on-demand educational needs for the center
• Collects maintains and reports data as required
• Regular and prompt work-site attendance
• Work assigned clinical shifts as necessary
• Other duties as assigned
