Senior DevOps Engineer - AWS Specialist

Overview

GovCIO is excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Engineer with DevSecOps expertise to lead the development, support, and architecture of a government application transitioning to the AWS cloud. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and code applications using Java, Angular, and AWS technologies.
• Provide patches and upgrades to existing systems, ensuring compliance with software standards.
• Engage in all stages of the software development lifecycle for AWS solutions, from planning to quality assurance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, documenting solutions and implementing preventive measures.
• Educate cross-functional teams on new cloud initiatives and provide training as needed.
• Create architectural blueprints for AWS-centered hybrid cloud infrastructures.
• Deliver quality solutions on-time and within budget, ensuring client satisfaction.
• Participate in architecture definition for Cloud Initiatives utilizing industry best practices.
• Develop and document technical content such as white papers.
• Plan and collaborate with team members on project management.
• Optimize cloud product development and deployment processes through automation and debugging.
• Execute disaster recovery plans and set up blue-green environments.
• Continuously identify and implement the best cloud tech stacks for various projects.
• Manage modifications and updates post-release.

Posted Salary Range

The expected salary for this position ranges from USD $124,540.00 to $155,000.00 per year, with variations based on experience and other factors.
