As a Technical Program Manager with a technical background, you will be a self-starter with the ability to work cross-functionally to complete projects; the ability to deal with complex situations / projects in international settings involving detection, location, and countermeasure capabilities. Strong communications and organizational skills are required to successfully manage systems integration, field installations, customer training, and technical support activities. / ppstrongWhat you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities) / strong / ppWhile each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be : / polliCreate and execute project work plans and budgets and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. / liliManage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. / liliManage teams of engineers and field technicians to complete project tasks both locally and in Customer countries. / liliAbility to perform tasks and complete projects with minimal supervision. / liliManage aspects of pre-shipment process, Engineering and Production requirements and deadlines, and planning and supporting of customer factory acceptance testing when necessary. / liliSupport customers installation site preparation planning, including identifying and managing subcontractors, coordinating statement of work documentation, ensuring quality of work, and managing customer modifications in scope. / liliManage all on-site activities, including site preparation; arrangements for and inspection of incoming shipments; installation and commissioning of hardware and software; performance of site acceptance tests; training of customers; and local and remote diagnostics and troubleshooting. / liliServe as the customers primary point of contact during execution (manufacturing, installation, and post-sale support periods). / liliSupport sales and marketing activities in project and program management roles in preparation of proposals. / liliMust be willing to travel internationally up to 30% of the time. / li / olpstrongWhat we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education) / strong / ppWe each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has : / ppstrongRequired Experience / strong / pulliMust be fluent in English, fluency in multiple languages is highly desirable. / liliMust be a US Person (US Citizen or Green card holder) / liliExcellent verbal and written communications skills / liliExcellent project management and problem-solving skills, PMP Certification preferred / liliInternational travel experience / liliProficiency with Microsoft Office tools / liliThe ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical / electronic schematics / liliExperience working with RF Communications Equipment, Spectrum Monitoring Management Systems, and / or Signals Intelligence Systems is highly desirable. / liliPrevious or current security clearance and / or military experience; must be clearable / li / ulpstrongPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities / strong / pulliFormer military or industry experience beneficial and desirable / li / ulpstrongEducation Certifications / strong / pulliMinimum of a Bachelors Degree, preferably in a technical field / liliMinimum of 7 years technical program management or relevant experience / liliPMP Certification preferred / li / ulpstrongTravel Working Environment / strong / pulliMust be willing to travel internationally up to 30% of the time. / liliMust reside locally to Fremont facility. / liliPossibility to work onsite at least 3 days per week, upon successful assimilation into the business. / li / ulpWe recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. As required by law in this state, the quoted salary range for this position is $125,100-$175,000 and represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidates experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. At SPX, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus, subject to the rules governing the plan.
