Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM

Must-Have :

• High-risk antepartum experience
• Experience in triage and high-risk deliveries
• Ability to recover C-section patients

Description :

Position available for a Labor and Delivery RN.

The shift is 3x12 hours during nights with holiday rotation.

Ratios are 1 : 2.

Weekend requirement is every other weekend.

On-call requirement is 12 hours per 4-week period.

First-time travelers are accepted.

Experience in a teaching hospital is preferred.

The traveler must be open to floating within scope to meet facility needs.

A successful candidate will have experience with intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC) placement and calibration.

They will maintain central lines (CVC / PICC) and administer medications, including anticoagulants, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy.

Assisting with high-risk deliveries and recovering C-sections is expected.

Sterile vaginal exams and isolation precautions / PPE procedures are required.

Interdisciplinary support will include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more.

The typical patient age group is adults, with a daily census of around 12 patients.

The unit consists of 21 rooms and 17 beds.

Hurricane season awareness is necessary as all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during this time.

All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission and approved based on facility needs.

Travelers are encouraged to be aware of module requirements as well.

This position prioritizes non-local candidates first.

Candidates must have an active South Carolina RN license to be cleared for work.
