Substation Project Engineer

Overview

Substation Project Engineer role at Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI). ECI is a power engineering consultant providing engineering, system planning and studies, project management, surveying, environmental planning, commissioning / testing and construction services to electric utilities, energy developers and industrials across the U.S. Our experience covers system voltages from 4.16 kV through 765 kV.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of new, upgraded and expanded substations.
• Material procurement, construction and commissioning / startup support through energization.
• Develop and deliver physical, electrical, civil and communication design studies, calculations, drawings, exhibits and specifications.
• Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing projects, including client and stakeholder coordination, training and mentoring of design staff, project quality assurance, and oversight of design engineers, designers, drafters and support staff.
• Coordinate specialized tasks with ECI\'s discipline groups (Distribution Studies, Transmission Studies, Grounding Studies, Protection / Relay Coordination, Civil Engineering, Communication / SCADA, Environmental Planning, Surveying, Lands / Right-of-Way, Project Management / Controls).
