Job Summary
The role of the Quality Manager is to develop, implement and support company quality initiatives. This position will work with production teams to standardize the company's quality management system through day-to-day Quality and Safety compliance and continuous improvement activities. This position will actively participate in quality and safety guidance and resolution decisions to increase Quality efficiencies and decrease safety incidences. Attention to detail and strong organizational and planning skills will be crucial for success.
Essential Functions
- Maintain the facility's Quality Management System (QMS); continually review to ensure compliance
- Manage, Plan, Schedule, and supervise the daily activities of Quality department personnel to support site Quality and OTD objectives while ensuring fulfillment of QMS and customer requirements.
- Develop and implement processes, procedures, instructions and best practices in correlation with quality requirements
- Plan, Schedule, lead internal & external quality audits; evaluate audit findings and ensure implementation of appropriate corrective actions
- Ensure completion of customer quality surveys and NDA's
- Ensure completion of all customers required documentation including CoCs, and Inspection reports
- Provide support to production and quoting team by identifying and reviewing customers' requests for proposals and customer order requirements
- Assist Operations by identifying and providing training and tools for product & process improvement projects related to improving site KPIs
- Assist in the development of and enforce all company policy
- Utilize ERP and Accounting systems to maintain facility workflow, identify issues, offer solutions; provide training and support to personnel
- Collaborate with intra / intercompany personnel regarding quality and workflow procedures; identify issues and offer solutions
- Lead Safety Committees to Maintain health and safety plans to ensure health & safety compliance and improvement
- Conduct training sessions, investigate accidents, and provide recommendations for improvement
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational trainings and participating in industry events
- Other duties as assigned
