Location : Los Angeles, California. The USC Department of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine, in partnership with the Eli and Edythe Broad Center for Regenerative Medicine, is seeking a motivated Research Lab Technician II to join the ASCEND Shared Resource Laboratory, a CIRM-funded facility focused on expanding access to cutting-edge stem cell technologies.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes and help with advertising and recruitment for basic and intermediate level ASCEND courses / materials.
• Prepare and present SOPs and lecture material for workshops and classes.
• Perform stem cell culture, expand cells, and produce organoids.
• Conduct laboratory activities in a safe, reproducible, standardized, and ethical manner.
• Maintain accurate notes and follow best practices and standards in the field.

Annual base salary range : $30.29-$35.90. USC considers factors such as scope and responsibilities, experience, education, skills, equity, legal requirements, funding, and market conditions when extending offers. USC will consider all qualified applicants with criminal records in compliance with applicable laws and ordinances.

Minimum Education : Bachelor's degree and specialized / technical training. Additional education may substitute for minimum education. Minimum Experience : 3 years. Minimum Skills : Fully competent in operating sophisticated scientific equipment and independently performing complex procedures with accuracy. Preferred Education : Master's degree. Preferred Skills : Advanced knowledge of research procedures, equipment, and analysis methods.
