The Department of Social Services, Information Systems Division (ISD), Innovative Technology Solutions Branch has an opening for Student Assistant. The position is located at 744 P Street, Sacramento, CA 95814.
The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) is seeking a highly motivated, qualified individual to join an exciting and diverse team. The student assistant will work with senior staff to develop, implement, operate and maintain multifaceted web application initiatives. The Student Assistant meets these responsibilities by working on Information.
Technology (IT) projects and IT systems, works on IT system problems, and independently performs activities on information technology systems.Assist in the planning and designing tasks including but not limited to the development of all new and ongoing.
Cloud initiatives for the Department, planning, design and / or development of all new and ongoing Business.
Intelligence solutions, including, but not limited to, services such as DotNetNuke(Content Management System), Wordpress, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SharePoint Online, PowerBi, Tableau, and Big Data analytical solutions. Assist in the planning, design and / or application development efforts for all client / server platforms, which may include, but are not limited to, developments in Microsoft Visual Studio, C#, and ASP.NET. Using Agile methodology, perform structured application programming focusing on using computer languages and technologies. Perform structured application programming focusing on using computer languages and technologies including, but not limited to JavaScript, Angular JS, APls, CSS3, HTML5, jQuery, AJAX, and MVC. Assist in implementing new technologies in the Cloud and Bl space, and assist in programming and / or implementing new system application requests, and applications in the pipeline, in order to reduce the cost of project deployment.

Telework / Remote Work Information : This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Specific telework arrangements may be discussed in more detail with the respective hiring manager. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the Department of Social Services policies. Headquarter location will be designated based on the selected candidate's primary residence location, and / or the closest CDSS location.

Working Conditions
This work location is very convenient! The CDSS is located two blocks from the light rail and public transportation : within walking distance to the State Capitol, parks, restaurants, farmer’s markets and the Golden 1 Arena. Our building has easy access to I-5, Highway 50, and Highway 80.
Special Requirements
This position is subject to fingerprinting clearance by the Department of Justice.
