Full-time, direct hire position

Salary : $75,000 - $90,000 (flexible, DOE)

Onsite in Charlottesville, VA

Relo package offered for non-local candidates

My retail apparel client is looking to hire a full-time Senior Technical Designer to join their team in Charlottesville, VA. This is a critical position for their growing brand! This role is based at their headquarters in Charlottesville, VA.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in apparel design, textile science, or a related field
• 8+ years of technical design or product development experience in the apparel industry
• Strong knowledge of fit, patternmaking, garment construction, and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in 2D patternmaking software (Optitex, Gerber, Clo, or Browzwear), Adobe Illustrator , PLM systems , and Excel
• Demonstrated ability to lead fit sessions , identify fit issues, and communicate actionable feedback
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborative and hands-on team player with a “no-task-too-small” attitude
