Vice President of DATA ENGINEERING

Summary

Leads and managers team of data science professionals, collaborating with stakeholders and the practice lead on data-based initiatives.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide vision and direction for the data science team, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and prioritize data-driven opportunities that align with the company's goals.
  • Develop and execute the data science roadmap, ensuring the application of advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence techniques to extract valuable insights from complex and diverse data sets.
  • Establish and maintain industry-leading practices for data governance, data quality, and data privacy.
  • Promotes a data-driven culture within the organization, fostering collaboration and innovation, and leveraging data to create competitive differentiation and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with the Data Science Practice lead regarding initiatives that require more resource-intensive modeling and automation.

    • Skills Requirements :

  • Excellent leadership skills to inspire and motivate a team, set strategic goals, allocate resources effectively, and ensure the successful execution of data science projects.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring data science professionals is essential.
  • Solid understanding of the business goals, objectives, and challenges of the organization.
  • Ability to translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations and strategies that align with the company's overall vision.
  • Business acumen to make informed decisions, prioritize projects, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Staying updated on the latest trends and advancements in data science and analytics, exploring new technologies, and assessing their potential impact on the organization's goals.

    • Education Requirements

    Bachelor's Degree, First Degree, Trade / Vocational School certificate or Equivalent required. Degree in Data Science or Engineering discipline preferred.
