JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-

Registered Nurse - Med / Surg

RN - MED / SURG

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for the Med / Surg Department will have the following job responsibilities :

• Caring for a wide range of adult patients with acute illnesses, post-surgical recovery, and other medical conditions that don't require specialized care.
• Key responsibilities include patient assessments, administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs, providing wound care, and educating patients and their families.
• Med-surg RNs also document patient care, coordinate with physicians and other healthcare team members, and manage medical equipment to ensure comprehensive and effective treatment plans.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS-

Registered Nurse - Med / Surg

RN - MED / SURG

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for the Med / Surg Department must meet the following minimum job qualifications :

Education :

Nursing Diploma or ASN required, BSN preferred

Licensure :

Current Florida State RN license or compact state RN license

Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association is required

Current ACLS preferred; required within 6 months of hire

Experience :

Minimum one year RN experience

Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment

Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and / or equipment up to 50 pounds

Additional Notes : Patient Ratio- 6 : 1

1+ year of acute care experience required.

MUST HAVE 1 year of RN experience preferability in the

hospital setting but is open to LTACH, HOME HEALTH, REHAB
