Overview
Direct, plan, and manage front of house operations of the Barking Frog with additional oversight of Fireside Lounge and Room Service at Willows Lodge. Create and manage beverage program with emphasis on wine, for Willows Lodge and all affiliated outlets. A majority of time is to be spent on the floor actively coaching, counseling associates and managing the guest experience.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Manage and direct activities of all FOH Staff of Barking Frog, in addition to Fireside Lounge and Room Service.
- Primary management of the daily floor operation of the Barking Frog with secondary management of Fireside Lounge.
- Manage Barking Frog floor during service to ensure the highest delivery of guest service.
- Manage the wine programs of Willows Lodge.
- Recruit and train FOH staff members.
- Establish specific goals and standards of performance management principles and practices to fully maximize productivity of FOH staff members.
- Coach, counsel, and discipline Barking Frog and Fireside Lounge FOH staff members.
- Ensure that all FOH Staff receive appropriate rest periods and meal periods.
- Create and deliver performance reviews for FOH staff members according to company schedule.
- Research new developments in the field to incorporate into food and beverage menus.
- Represent the hotel in the wine community and demonstrate position of leadership.
- Foster and maintain relationships with wine distributors and purveyors.
- Create and manage wine lists for Barking Frog, Fireside Lounge, Catering, and Room Service.
- Create wine and food pairings for all outlets, including Barking Frog, Fireside Cellars, and Catering.
- Execute weekly ordering and monthly beverage inventory along with FSL Manager.
- Manage and delegate receiving and organization of daily wine deliveries.
- Execute selling of wine and spirits during service to maximize revenue through delivery of wine knowledge expertise to guests and employees.
- Create wine education to FOH Staff to maximize revenue.
- Deliver special wine presentations to guests for special events.
- Direct and manage guest recovery opportunities.
- Serve as liaison between FOH Staff and BOH Leadership.
- Lead daily pre-shift meetings at start of shift.
- Work closely with DoF&B in meeting and / or exceeding monthly budgetary goals as it relates to revenue and cost percentages to include labor.
- Represent hotel as Manager on Duty in the absence of Rooms Management.
- Attend and participate in regular Leadership, Operations, and Food & Beverage Meetings.

The compensation for this position is $75,000.00 / Yr. - $78,000.00 / Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
