Forklift Operator

The Stock Keeper 1 is responsible for ensuring proper materials are available to the assigned departments while maintaining accurate inventory transactions via scanning equipment for manufacturing departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide movement of materials and supplies between receiving, manufacturing, shipping, and storage areas using a forklift.
• Control the issue and receipt of materials to production, verifying work order numbers, quantities, and status of work orders.
• Receive incoming materials, verifying quality, quantities, and purchase orders. Apply labels according to requirements and store in proper locations.
• Operate forklift as assigned for loading and unloading of steel coils / tubing. Inspect and weigh coils to standards. Write coil tickets and distribute copies where needed.
• Ensure that materials are correctly staged, clearly labeled with part numbers and quantities to ensure prompt delivery between manufacturing departments.
• Rotate materials using older materials first, or as manufacturing requires, utilizing the space in the plant efficiently.
• Identify damaged materials and take appropriate action.
• Maintain good housekeeping and follow established safety procedures.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual.
• Maintain awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; report all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.16 - $20.16 / hr.
