Circuit Court Clerk

Our client in Manistee, MI is looking for a hardworking, motivated individual to join their team! What will you be doing? This list may not be inclusive of the total scope of job functions to be performed. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or modified at any time. Primary Clerk to the Circuit Court Judge. Attends Circuit Court on court days to keep case records concerning proceedings such a pleas, arraignments, sentencing and other court proceedings. Also clerks for Friend of the Court as needed. Prepares monthly and quarterly reports regarding the status of case files. Attends Circuit Court bench trials, opens court and swears in witnesses. May also be asked to attend jury trials. Reports to the following state departments : Secretary of State, Michigan Department of Public Health, Supreme Court / Start Court Administrator's Office, State of Court Appeals, Supreme Court, Attorney General's Office, Michigan State Police and Michigan Department of Corrections, Precise data entry of reports and court documents. What do you bring? Positive, can-do attitude Associate's Degree, or equivalent experience 2-3 years of clerical experience with knowledge of legal terminology and legal procedures Basic knowledge of bookkeeping Strong computer skills with experience in word processing, databases and spreadsheets, and the ability to demonstrate proficiency. Superior organizational and written communication skills Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills Ability to maintain high confidentiality and the ability to independently manage multiple tasks in a professional manner Why should you choose Manpower?
