First International Bank and Trust is seeking an In-House Mortgage Loan Closer to join our Mortgage Operations team. In this role you will handle loan document preparation, coordination with title companies, and ensure compliance with our guidelines.

This is an in-office position.

Key Responsibilities :

Review initial loan documents for compliance with FIBT guidelines.

Coordinate with title companies, providing closing fees and obtaining Closing Disclosures.

Prepare and send closing documents to title companies, addressing any loan officer queries.

Set up loans in our core system and wire funds to title companies for closings.

Review signed documents for accuracy and handle post-closing duties.

Stay updated on policy / procedural changes and attend training sessions.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.

Close and set up consistent number of files per month (based on volume).

Mentor and train team members as needed.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalency is required; previous experience in mortgage processing, loan origination and / or working in a bank is preferred.

Knowledge of mortgage processing and / or loan origination is preferred.
