Eric W Snyder Insurance in Parkton, Maryland is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Account Manager & Marketing Specialist. Our Account Manager & Marketing Specialist serves as a link between the insurance agency clients, prospective clients, and the carriers represented by the agency. As an Account Manager & Marketing Specialist it will be your responsibility to provide personalized service to our Commercial Lines clients and support the agency's efforts to attract prospective new clients. A confident, customer service oriented personality and a positive attitude are paramount. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day activities of client accounts including, but not limited to, policy review, changes and updates, contract reviews, preparing Certificates of Insurance, preparing renewal documents, marketing and negotiating insurance programs, and financial statements related to the client's insurance.
- Identify and qualify commercial insurance prospects using online portals to develop targeted call lists to support outbound sales campaigns and new business acquisition.
- Manage activities of prospective client accounts including, but not limited to, policy and coverage review, collecting complete underwriting information, preparing and presenting complete insurance quotes related to the client's insurance.
- Maintain client files in AMS accurately and consistently; responsible for proper documentation of files and proper communication to all in accordance with company workflows, procedures, and best practices.
- Responsible for assisting in establishing and maintaining appropriate carrier relationships, knowing the requirements and attributes of all insurance company partners while maintaining in-depth knowledge of the carriers and their resources.
- Manage client inquiries and work with insurance partners and / or internal teams to resolve client issues.
- Manage client claims reporting and follow-up.
- Complete new business applications
- Stay informed on regulatory changes
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Continually seek opportunities to improve the firm, business segment and processes while bringing issues and discrepancies to appropriate leadership
Requirements
Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent.Has three or more years of business-related experience, Insurance Industry experience preferred, Commercial Insurance is a plus.Holds a current property / casualty agents license OR ability to complete testing and acquire property / casualty license prior to start date. Life and Health license is a plus.Possesses a supportive and responsive manner with internal and external customers.Has the ability to perform multiple tasks accurately and efficiently in a complex working environment.Possesses above average computer knowledge and skills. Must have strong Excel skills, ability to create and manage large spreadsheets of data.Has the knowledge and experience necessary for independent decision-making ability.Commitment to ongoing professional development through industry-sponsored educational programs.Self-motivated with initiative, integrity, and thoughtfulness.
