Job Summary :
The Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care and support to clients in a long-term care facility, maintaining a therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include nursing assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for adult clients, with a focus on dementia care. The role involves assigning work and providing direction to subordinate nursing personnel.

Responsibilities :
- Perform nursing assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations for adult clients.
- Assign work and provide direction and training to subordinate nursing personnel.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and document patient conditions, including vital signs and changes in status.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living as needed.
- Utilize technology related to patient care information systems.
- Answer unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
Required Skills & Certifications :
Graduate of an accredited college or university degree in nursing.Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Montana.Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care or dementia care.Knowledge of nursing, medications, and treatment planning.Knowledge of patient's rights regarding medical treatment.Knowledge of current psychopharmacology.Skill in the use of basic nursing instruments and equipment.Ability to plan and implement appropriate nursing care interventions.Ability to perform accurate and thorough work.Ability to provide patient assessment and appropriate documentation.Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.Ability to analyze, assemble, and organize information.Ability to proficiently utilize technology related to patient care information systems.Preferred Skills & Certifications :
Experience working with psychiatric inpatient treatment programs.CPI certificationSpecial Considerations :
Every weekend 12-hour night shift (Saturday and Sunday).This role is not suited for nurses seeking significant overtime opportunities.Attendance is a priority.One meal is provided per shift.Shift differential may be available.Scheduling :
Night / Evening shift, mainly 12-hour night shifts (1800-0630), with occasional evening shifts (1400-2230).36 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime.
