The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program equips graduates to deliver exceptional, evidence-based mental health care to military personnel and their families across various settings, including outpatient, inpatient, and deployed environments. With clinical training at tri-service facilities, our program uniquely prepares you to address the specific mental health needs of the military population.

Qualifications

• Citizenship : Applicants must be United States citizens.
• Age : Applicants should complete their degree and commission before turning 42. Waivers may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Education : Must be a graduate of a nursing school accredited by either the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, having received a baccalaureate or advanced nursing degree.
• Clinical / Work Experience : A minimum of two years of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a baccalaureate or higher degree in the United States, its territories, or a U.S. military hospital outside the U.S. is required.
• License : Candidates must hold a current, unrestricted RN license in good standing, issued by a state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia, obtained through successful completion of the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).
