Responsibilities Float between various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum / mother-baby Day shift with 12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 to 19 : 00 Contract length is 13 weeks with options to work 36 or 48 hours per week Every other weekend is required, as well as working 2 out of the 3 winter holidays Block scheduling cannot be accommodated Epic EMR is used and prior experience with Epic is required Will provide nursing care across multiple pediatric units based on facility need Must adhere to facility float policies and scope of practice Up to 40 hours of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract No mile radius rule for this unit Return staff must be separated for at least 12 months to be eligible to return Maximum of 365 days of assignment permitted regardless of time off between contracts Modules required during orientation, up to 16 hours are non-billable Must work collaboratively with multidisciplinary pediatric care teams Requirements Active VA or compact RN license required (pending accepted with license in hand before start date) Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience required Must have NICU experience Certifications required : BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification required (may be submitted pending for a $185 fee) Experience floating to different pediatric units preferred BSN preferred Two references required for consideration Nursys verification of license required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628452.
