Job descriptionThe Class A tanker truck driver position requires a Class A CDL with no restrictions and a Tanker endorsement to start with Haz Mat endorsement required within 60 days of hire. The driver must be able to plan trips (breaks, fuel stops, customer appointments, weather, traffic & construction, city and rural driving conditions) and manage unforeseen circumstances. The driver will sit for several hours at a time while operating their equipment. Equipment can include but is not limited to semi truck, tank trailers, dry van, pneumatic, intermodal, and flat beds. Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading product according to company and customer instructions. Weekends, nights, and holidays will be required to make timely deliveries to our customers. Weekly mileages can and do fluctuate. Full time employees are eligible for a full benefits package including health, dental, vision and life insurance as well as 401 (k) with company matching funds available. Uniforms supplied Must be able to obtain Hazardous Materials endorsement within 90 days 24 years of age 12 months of verifiable OTR or Local experience within the previous 7 years Class A CDL with Tank Endorsement (obtain hazmat within 60 days) No more than 1 chargeable accident within the last 3 years No more than 3 jobs in the last 3 years No more than 1 moving violation in the last three years Candidates must successfully complete a DOT pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, background check and functionality testing.
