New Homes Relationship Manager
The New Homes Relationship Manager will be responsible for building relationships between installers, financiers, and manufacturers across the US while developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and developing strong relationships at various levels inside of New Home Builders. This role is responsible for achieving sales revenue, gross margin, and volume goals. The primary role of the New Homes Account Coordinator is to attend events, build relationships, find collaborative opportunities, win new home construction deals, and represent BayWa professionally. They must find unique ways to build inroads in this unique environment of New Homes Builders. The New Homes Relationship Manager works with senior level management, New Home Project Lead, marketing, and technical staff.
This role will report to Director, Business Development.
Compensation and benefits include a salary range of $90k-$120k OTE, 401k with up to 5% employer match, 100% health premium coverage for individuals (for select plans), dental, vision, accident, critical illness, group & voluntary life insurance and AD&D, unlimited PTO, and 100% paid family leave up to 12 weeks.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for New Home Builder accounts, as well as their installer, financier, and manufacturer partners.
Build trust and credibility with external stakeholders by providing reliable communication, timely updates, and proactive support.Represent BayWa at trade shows, builder association events (e.g., CBIA, BIASC), and industry networking opportunities to expand visibility and strengthen relationships.Account CoordinationManage bulk orders for builder accounts, ensuring accurate forecasting, order entry, and delivery schedules.
Track pipeline activity and maintain builder account records in CRM (NetSuite), ensuring data accuracy for forecasting and reporting.Monitor account health, address service issues promptly, and escalate when needed to maintain customer satisfaction.Partner with the New Homes Project Lead and senior sales team to prepare presentations, proposals, and account updates.Business Development SupportResearch and identify potential builder partners, creating introductions and opening doors for senior sales to close larger opportunities.
Participate in sales calls, site visits, and account reviews as needed to support growth objectives.Support marketing initiatives tailored to the new homes channel, including campaigns, collateral, and event sponsorships.Cross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate with internal teams (sales operations, logistics, marketing, and technical support) to ensure smooth onboarding and account experience.
Provide input on builder account needs to help shape product offerings, logistics planning, and customer support models.Assist in developing builder-specific sales forecasts and reporting on channel performance.Market & Industry InsightStay current on solar and new homes industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes that may impact builder accounts.
Share insights with leadership to guide strategy and identify new opportunities.Represent BayWa's interests in builder associations, boards, or committees when appropriate.General ResponsibilitiesSupport the preparation of monthly / quarterly reporting and forecasting for the new homes channel.
Maintain accurate and professional records of customer interactions.Qualification Requirements
Education & Experience
3+ years' working within an organization serving new home builders as your primary client base is a must.Experience in B2B solar distribution sales with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.3+ years' experience working with and growing wallet share and closing national accounts.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM (Netsuite) software is highly recommended.Extensive experience of negotiating complex legal agreements.Skills & Competencies
Experience working with large, sophisticated accounts.Ability to work with in-house and customer legal counsel to successfully execute win-win agreements.Excellent skills in developing strategies aimed at communicating the advantages of a product or service to executive leadership of large organizations.Demonstrated performance in collaboration, lead prospecting, closing, and creativity.Ability to build meaningful relationships at all levels of the organization and with our customers and manufacturing partners.Strong knowledge of industry products and services and how they create value for our customers.Highly organized and self-directed.Exceptional interpersonal, oral, presentation, and written communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.Physical Requirements
