Job Description

1st and 2nd Shift.

Heat Treat Operator is responsible for operating CNC lathe and / or milling machine. Loads and inspects parts, changes offsets and tooling. Heat Treat Operator position ensures parts are heat treated through an induction heat treat process. Work is performed in a manufacturing setting standing and walking on concrete floors throughout an 8 to 12 hour shift with frequent handling of metal parts weighing 1 to 5 pounds, visual inspection, occasional bending or reaching, use of hand tools, use of up to 50 lbs. of force to move heavy loads on wheels.

Essential Job Functions

• Machine Operations - Check specs, load / unload production lines.
• Utilize measurement tools such as pre-set gauges to verify quality of production.
• Perform visual inspection of parts.
• Make necessary offsets.
• Change / adjust production tooling.
• Complete forms recording production results.
• Daily preventative maintenance, remove and dispose of chips / shavings, replenish fluids / lubricants,
• Comply with ISO 16949 & 14001 requirements, safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas - perform 5S cleaning responsibilities.
• Reads job instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

Starting Wage for this position : $19.00 / hour
