About the Role :
The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a residential
community association. This role serves as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors,
residents, staff, and service providers. The manager ensures that the community is well-
maintained, financially sound, and compliant with governing documents, while delivering
superior customer service to residents.
Schedule : 9 am-5 pm. Subject to night meetings and after-hours calls.
Location : Communities will be in Maryland
Responsibilities :
Administrative & Governance
- Serve as the primary contact for residents, board members, committees, and vendors
- Support the Board of Directors by preparing meeting agendas, packets, notices, and
minutes
Attend and facilitate Board, Annual, and Special Meetings as requiredEnsure compliance with governing documents, policies, and applicable laws / regulationsDraft and review RFPs, secure proposals, and make recommendations to the BoardFinancial Management
Assist in preparing and presenting annual budgets and reserve studiesReview and approve expenditures in line with budgetary guidelines and thresholdsProcess invoices, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate financial recordsProvide monthly financial and management reports to the Board.Operations & Maintenance
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with community standardsIssue violation notices and follow up on compliance mattersOversee vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality performanceCoordinate preventive maintenance programs and capital projectsEnsure safety and security protocols are upheld within the community.Resident & Staff Relations :
Respond to resident inquiries and requests in a timely, professional mannerPromote a positive and inclusive community atmosphereHire, train, supervise, and evaluate onsite staff as applicableCoordinate community communications, events, and newsletters.Qualifications :
5+ years of experience in community association or property management (onsiteexperience preferred)
CMCA, AMS, or PCAM certification (preferred but not always required)Strong knowledge of community governance, property maintenance, and vendormanagement
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and community management softwareExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong leadership, organizational, and time management abilitiesAbility to handle conflict resolution with professionalismCustomer service focus and professionalismFinancial and project management skillsLeadership and team managementProblem-solving and decision-making abilitiesAttention to detail and compliance orientationWorking Conditions :
