About the Opportunity

As a Controller, you will oversee the production of accurate financial statements, manage daily and monthly cash reporting, and prepare forecasts to support strategic decision-making. This role requires someone with strong technical expertise, proven leadership skills, and the ability to operate independently. A background in engineering or architectural industries, combined with experience in federal compliance, is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

Produce timely and accurate financial statements and related reports.

Manage cash flow, cash reporting, and ensure liquidity for operational needs.

Prepare and analyze forecasts to guide leadership in decision-making.

Ensure compliance with federal regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.

Partner with leadership to provide financial insight and process improvements.

Step into responsibilities without extensive onboarding or handoff, demonstrating independence and resourcefulness.

Requirements

7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, ideally within engineering, architectural, or similar project-driven industries.

Strong knowledge of federal compliance and regulatory requirements.

Proven expertise in financial reporting, cash management, and forecasting.

Highly resourceful, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in an independent work environment.

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
