Make a Meaningful Impact Overnight – Join Our Team as a Shelter Associate!

The YMCA of the Roses is looking for compassionate, dependable individuals to serve as Overnight Shelter Associates at our Low Barrier Shelter hosted at Otterbein United Methodist Church in Lancaster City.

In this vital role, you'll help maintain a calm, welcoming, and safe environment for guests, offering a steady presence throughout the night. Your commitment will directly support individuals experiencing homelessness by ensuring they have a warm, respectful, and stable place to rest.

Our shelter operates nightly from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM, year-round, providing consistent care to those who need it most.

Employees enjoy FREE use of the facilities at all branches, including our outdoor pools, gym, and wellness center. Program discounts include FREE use of Child Watch up to 3 hours per day or Camp / School-Aged Child Care for your own children while you're working when available, and discounts on programs and lessons.

Obtain Criminal background check, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI fingerprint clearance.
