Field Technician

We are seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined Field Service Technician. This hands-on role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing specialized laboratory and medical devices at customer locations nationwide. Industry-specific equipment training is provided — if you have strong mechanical / electrical repair skills and enjoy solving problems, working independently, and traveling, this is an exceptional long-term career opportunity with rapid growth potential.

What You’ll Do

  • Travel to customer sites to install, service, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on laboratory / medical equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Clean, refurbish, and paint equipment as needed
  • Train end-users on equipment operation and maintenance procedures
  • Complete detailed service reports and documentation via ERP system
  • Provide high-level customer service and communication at all times
  • Support warehouse and company operations when not traveling
  • Participate in paid 3-month training program to master specialized equipment
  • Occasionally respond to after-hours or emergency service needs

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical, repair, or field service role
  • Ideal backgrounds : HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, automotive, mechanical repair, biomedical tech, instrumentation
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical & mechanical schematics
  • Excellent communication, patience, and customer-facing professionalism
  • Strong organization and documentation skills
  • Comfortable with computer systems (ERP experience a plus)
  • Ability to travel 3–5 days per week (overnight) — paid travel time
  • Enjoys problem-solving, continuous learning, and working independently
  • Self-motivated — uses travel time productively (documentation / training)
  • No degree required — hands-on technical experience is valued most.

  • Compensation & Growth

  • Starting : Low-to-mid $60K annually
  • With experience : Up to $80K
  • After proven performance (2–3 years) : Up to $90K–$100K+ potential
  • Paid travel time + overtime eligible
