Senior Software Engineer (Python, Spark, AWS)

We are seeking Back End Software Engineers who are passionate about marrying data with emerging technologies. As a Capital One Software Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.

The role sits within Card Data and the team is responsible for a business data product that provides firmographic information and generates insights about businesses across the US. In this role, you will primarily work on building data pipelines and standardizing current pipelines to build a self-service capability for stakeholders to ingest new data.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal and external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community
• Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment
• Utilize programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, container orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon hours worked. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and / or long-term incentives.

Salary information : McLean, VA : $158,600 - $181,000 for Senior Software Engineer. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range for that location, and the actual amount offered will be in the offer letter.
