Waste Control Equipment Operator

Waste Control, a Waste Connections company is looking to hire a full time, year-round Heavy Equipment Operator at our MRF in Longview, Washington. The Starting rate of pay is $25.11 / HR. The Schedule will be : 4 Days on, 3 Days off -3 Days on, -4 Days off. Every other Wednesday and every Thursday through Saturday Starting at 6 : 00am-5 : 30Pm (With Overtime Often. Average work week is (45-48 Hours a week)

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Performs routine inspection and maintenance on Equipment such as checking oil, water, and tires.
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
  • Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Works well with the public

Working Conditions And Physical Effort

  • Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment such as Front End Loader, Fork Lift, and other Heavy Equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
