Job Summary
As a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Special Procedures, you will be an integral part of our team, supporting complex cardiovascular and interventional procedures. Working closely with expert physicians and nurses, you will utilize advanced imaging and procedural technologies to provide exceptional, safe, and compassionate care. Minimum Qualifications
Education : Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Licenses / Certifications :
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
- Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).
Experience / Knowledge / Skills :
Ability to lift and / or assist in maneuvering patients as necessary for job functions.Principal Accountabilities
Conducts special / invasive radiology procedures, ensuring adherence to all radiation safety protocols : prepares patients for examinations, explains procedures, administers contrast when necessary, positions patients appropriately, selects imaging techniques, and ensures the technical quality of images.Enters and monitors patient data accurately.Performs quality assurance on radiology equipment and may assist with applications for ACR and other accreditations.Identifies and reports any accidents, complaints, or equipment issues to department management promptly.Takes emergency call within the department as required.Ensures a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards while managing time effectively, ensuring productivity, and maintaining service quality.Promotes personal professional growth by meeting mandatory education and skills competency requirements; supports departmental goals that contribute to organizational success; serves as a mentor and resource for less experienced staff.Demonstrates a commitment to caring for every member of our community, creating personalized experiences, and following Memorial Hermann’s service standards to provide safe, caring, and efficient experiences for patients and colleagues.Other duties as assigned.
