Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring an active SC or compact license and prior Epic EMR experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Cardiac Telemetry unit of an inpatient hospital setting
  • Care for adult patients with life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions, including sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and CAD
  • Patient population may require management of IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation
  • Night shift with 12-hour shifts (work 4x12 per week); every other weekend required
  • Floating to other qualified units or campuses as needed
  • Epic EMR system in use, with a minimum of one year Epic experience required
  • Responsibilities include assessing, monitoring, and caring for patients with acute cardiac and multisystem conditions
  • Travelers must reside at least 50 miles from the campus for night shift eligibility
  • Requests for time off or special scheduling are subject to facility approval
  • All staff are expected to float only to areas where they are credentialed and have demonstrated competencies
  • Holiday coverage and participation in unit staffing requirements may be expected
  • Local candidates are accepted subject to radius rules

  • Active SC or compact RN license required prior to consideration
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
  • Minimum of 1 year recent Cardiac Telemetry unit experience required
  • At least one year experience with Epic EMR
  • Two professional references needed
