The Medical Assistant II works under the supervision of a licensed practitioner to provide patient care. This role encompasses all the responsibilities of a Medical Assistant I and requires a solid understanding of clinical functions for the assigned clinic or work location. You will follow established policies, procedures, and regulations.

The Journey Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) similarly works under a licensed practitioner, performing duties aimed at assisting in patient care. This role includes all responsibilities of the Associate MA-R role, and involves being fully competent in clinical functions for the assigned clinic. A Journey MA-R is expected to adhere to all established policies and regulations.

Medical Assistant Required Qualifications :

• Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, or
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
• Completion of two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or
• A minimum of one year of work experience as a medical assistant, which includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration, or
• Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire, and
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire, and
• 6 months of healthcare experience, and
• 6 months of medical assistant experience.

Salary Range for Medical Assistant :

The starting pay in Spokane, WA ranges from $19.76 to $30.24, with most candidates beginning at $22.19 / hr or higher based on experience. A $2,500 Sign-on Bonus is available for eligible rehires and external candidates who meet conditions for payment, in addition to an excellent benefits package starting on day one of employment.

The starting pay in Spokane, WA ranges from $17.39 to $26.07, with most candidates starting at $20.91 / hr or higher based on experience.

Additional Compensation :

The base pay range is listed, though additional compensation may be available for this role, including shift differentials, standby / on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses.
