Must-Have :

Travelers may be asked to float to different units or facilities based on staffing needs.

Notification will be provided before scheduled shifts if a float assignment is required.

Description :

The unit has a capacity of 36 beds.

We serve a patient population that includes cardiac and neuro stepdown cases.

Services include cardiac bedside monitoring, administration of cardiac drips, use of TR bands, care after heart catheterizations, and management of stroke or neuro patients.

This unit also accommodates BIPAP overflow patients.

Patients range from young adults to late adults (ages 18 to 60+).

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 6.

The core staffing plan includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, patient care technicians, and nurse interns.

An RN is responsible for the full care of patients on each team.

Travelers may float between units based on census and acuity.
