What We're Looking For :
We are seeking an Intelligence Operations Lead (Subject Matter Expert II) who will play a pivotal role in leading Aretec's Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) team. In this position, you will oversee critical intelligence functions-including Cyber Intelligence, Intelligence Analysis, Applied Intelligence, and Insider Threat Support-to protect U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the lawful immigration system.
Your responsibilities will include :
Leading Innovative Intelligence Operations :
- Oversee intelligence teams responsible for identifying, analyzing, and reporting on advanced persistent threats (APTs) and cyber warfare techniques.
- Guide intelligence analysts and researchers in developing strategic and tactical assessments to inform decision-makers.
- Manage intelligence collection, evaluation, and dissemination processes to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely reports.
Collaborative Solution Development :
Work across intelligence disciplines to correlate data, analyze trends, and assess threats to USCIS infrastructure and systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop alerts, implement user activity monitoring (UAM) capabilities, and support Insider Threat Program operations.Strategic Impact :
Develop and publish intelligence reports and threat assessments for USCIS public-facing systems.Analyze Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), determine operational impacts, and provide actionable recommendations.Contribute to long-term intelligence strategies that deter, degrade, and disrupt sophisticated cyber actors.Stakeholder Engagement :
Liaise with intelligence community partners to share insights and coordinate intelligence operations.Present intelligence briefings and recommendations to senior leadership and mission stakeholders.Mentorship and Leadership :
Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to CTI team members, ensuring professional growth and operational excellence.Foster a culture of analytical rigor, proactive intelligence sharing, and mission-driven performance.The Skills We're Looking For :
Technical & Analytical Expertise :
Proven ability to analyze cyber threats, identify trends, and assess potential impacts using both classified and open-source intelligence.Expertise in intelligence collection and dissemination techniques, with experience in correlating multi-source data for actionable insights.Ability to evaluate raw data and produce high-quality intelligence products with minimal oversight.Experience :
Minimum five (5) years of experience analyzing intelligence within the U.S. Intelligence Community.Prior analytical experience in the military, federal intelligence, or national security sectors.Subject matter knowledge in Border Security, Cybersecurity, Border Protection, or Illicit Financial Practices.Experience leveraging all-source resources, including open-source unclassified and classified databases.Education :
Associate degree with four (4) years of operational experience, orBachelor's degree with two (2) years of operational experience.Leadership & Communication :
Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities, with the ability to direct teams and projects under tight deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex intelligence to diverse audiences.Security Clearance :
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Final TOP SECRET SCI Clearance.Must meet SCI eligibility (ICD 704) with no waivers or conditions.Position requires work within a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).The Expectations of the Job :
Day One :
Engage with Aretec leadership and the CTI team to understand current intelligence operations and mission priorities.Begin familiarization with USCIS systems, procedures, and intelligence infrastructure.Day Thirty :
Contribute to intelligence production by analyzing threat data and drafting initial reports.Participate in coordination meetings with USCIS and intelligence partners.Day Sixty :
Lead intelligence assessments, correlating threat indicators and formulating actionable recommendations.Support Insider Threat Program operations by refining alerts and detection mechanisms.Day Ninety :
Assume full operational leadership of CTI functions.Oversee intelligence production cycles, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and strategic impact.Mentor analysts and enhance intelligence processes to support evolving USCIS missions.Additional Notes : Location :
