The shift requires working nights with holiday rotation. No on-call duty is required. Weekend work is required every other weekend. The clinician must be able to float within all areas of the facility, including labor and delivery. Floating to sister facilities is not required. Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. First-time travelers are not accepted. All certifications must be current and in hand before starting. A radiation badge is not required. No local candidates will be accepted. Travelers must set forth their time off requests at the time of submission. The facility can call off one shift every two weeks. The facility is a community hospital with a total of 396 staffed beds. Scrubs are to be worn in Caribbean Blue. Epic is the charting system used. Patients across various age groups, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, are cared for. The facility has interdisciplinary support, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and others. Skills required include adult critical care, BiPAP, bronchoscopy assist, intubation assist, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year, with peak months in August and September. Modules will be required for compliance and will be non-billable.
