JOB OVERVIEW

  • Job Title : Surgeon General Surgery
  • Job Type : Permanent Full-Time
  • Location : Hobart and Valparaiso, IN
  • Service Setting : Inpatient and Outpatient
  • Schedule : Monday Friday
  • On-Call Expectations : 1 in 5 rotation
  • Start Date : Approximately 90120 days post-offer, pending credentialing PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE
  • Patient Demographics : Adult surgical patients
  • Admissions & Rounding : Included
  • Consults & Follow-Ups : Yes
  • Case Mix / Clinical Focus Areas : General Surgery; subspecialty interests supported FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS
  • EMR System : Epic HIMSS Stage VII
  • Specialty Backup : Collegial physician group support
  • Support Staff : Integrated inpatient and outpatient care teams
  • Leadership & Reporting Structure : Hospital-employed physician model
  • Reason for Opening : Growth and expansion of surgical services CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE
  • Board

Requirements : BC / BE in General Surgery

  • DEA & Certifications : DEA, CSR required
  • Credentialing Timeline : 90120 days COMPENSATION & PERMANENT BENEFITS
  • Base Salary : Highly competitive (negotiable MGMA guidelines)
  • Incentive Bonus Structure : Contract bonuses based on RVUs

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform general surgical procedures in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Participate in call rotation (1 in 5)
  • Provide consultative services and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
