Radiologic Technologist- New Grads Accepted- Westfield, NJ

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist scrub assistance is plus.

Shifts : M-F 8hrs

Radiologic Technologist/ Special Procedures Tech Responsibilities include:

·Good to have scrub experience.

·Sets up sterile table, instruments and supplies according to procedure and physician preference card.

·Scrubs, gowns and gloves in accordance with AORN standards.

·Anticipates and assists surgeons according to prescribed standards.

·Cost conscious in utilization of supplies for procedures.

·Applies and maintains the aseptic technique in delivery of care to patients.

·Assists in application of dressings as needed.

·Decontaminates all equipment and instruments; cleans room per TCVCG policy/procedures.

·Maintains and operates all departmental equipment necessary for patient care (i.e. C- arm, ultrasound, various catheters); maintains par levels of equipment.

Skills and Experience:

·New Grads are accepted with little work experience in an internship.

·Minimum 2 years as an x-ray tech with Scrub assistance (preferred).

·Maintains a professional appearance takes pride and ownership of work and works in a cooperative, team-oriented manner.

·Possesses the physical ability and perceptive acuity (e.g. visual, hearing) to perform all direct and indirect care functions.

Certifications/ Education:

·ARRT certification is must.

·Graduate of an accredited surgical tech program or radiography program, or equivalent knowledge gained by experience.

·NJ State license is must.

·BLS certification (preferred)
