What We’re Looking For Founding Product Designer

We are looking for a Founding Product Designer who is excited to own and elevate the entire user-facing experience of our rapidly growing fintech platform.

Halfmore is a consumer product at its core — families trust us to handle payroll, compliance, and wealth-building for their children. Design is central to making complex financial processes intuitive, friendly, and delightful. From welcoming parents into the platform to helping them visualize their child’s financial future, your work will define how families experience money in a new way.

You’ll be working closely with the co-founders and engineering team to :

Translate product requirements into intuitive, family-friendly user experiences.

Develop and refine Halfmore’s design language, ensuring consistency across mobile and web.

Create design assets, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma.

Collaborate directly with engineering to ship polished, production-ready experiences.

Requirements Exceptional visual and interaction design skills, with a portfolio showing polished, user-centered products.

A bias toward action, with the ability to make decisions with incomplete information, iterate quickly, and simplify complex workflows.

Proficiency in design tools such as Figma.

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate (preferred, given the founding role).

Bonus Experience designing for consumer fintech, family, or education products.

Strong storytelling skills to translate abstract concepts like “compound interest” into intuitive visuals.

Basic understanding of front-end development (React, TypeScript).

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

How You’ll Grow As the first designer at Halfmore , you’ll :

Own and define our product design direction end-to-end.

Shape the brand and voice of a new category-defining fintech product.

Partner with founders to influence product strategy and roadmap.

Build the foundation for a design team as we scale nationally.
