Join Community\nCommunity Health Network was created by our neighbors, for our neighbors.\nOver 60 years later, community is still the heart of our organization.\nIt means providing our neighbors with the best care possible, backed by state-of-the-art technology.\nIt means getting involved in the communities we serve through volunteer opportunities and benefits initiatives.\nIt means ensuring our dedicated caregivers can learn and grow to stay at the top of their fields and to better serve our patients.\nAnd above all, it means exceptional care, simply delivered - and we couldn't do it without you.\nMake a Difference\nThe School Registered Nurse Ambulatory provides health services to facilitate optimal physical, mental, emotional and social growth and development for students within the schools.\nCares for students with chronic health issues and helps identify health needs during the course of the school day.\n- Provides health education, medication management, emotional support and referral to higher levels of care based on student needs.\nSupports the education process by working to assure the health of the students.\nPromotes healthy habits and overall health to strengthen maximum learning.\nPRN staff must be available to work a minimum of three shifts per month between August-May, in order to maintain competency as a school nurse.\nPRN staff must also float to all of the school districts within the assigned South region which includes Franklin Township, Clark Pleasant, Perry Township, Center Grove, Greenwood, and Decatur Township.\nThis School RN opening is for the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year and the nurse will start in the summer of 2025.\nExceptional Skills and Qualifications\n-Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.\n-Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).\n-One year or more of nursing experience required.\n- Two years of experience working with pediatric patients required.\n-Excellent communication skills.\n-Excellent team skills.\n-Compassionate and caring.\n-Accountable.\n-Self-directed.
