Director of Sales and Marketing

Job Description

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for a Director of Sales and Marketing who comes from a manufacturing background. This is a direct hire opportunity with manufacturer of small mechanical components in Hicksville NY area.

Pay up to $185,000

This top sales leader will be responsible for providing the vision and direction / management of all Sales and Business Development operations (both Domestic and Foreign) which includes both internal and external sales teams, applications engineering, customer service operations / Ecommerce, and operations.

Education & Experience :

• B.S. in Engineering, Business or Marketing disciplines, MBA preferred.
• A minimum of ten (10) years as a Senior Level Sales Leader in a manufacturing or industrial company.
• Sales experience in aerospace, medical, and / or automation industries preferred.
• Proven experience with managing and directing all sales and business development operations (at both the strategic and operational levels), including market competitiveness, tactical sales, pricing, Ecommerce, and distribution channel strategy.
• Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.
• Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and successful public relations efforts.
• Outstanding consultative selling abilities. Proven evangelical sales track record in a new product / new market environment.
• Experience with a specific sales methodology and sales funnel management.
• Sound administrative skills, well-developed management skills - principles and people.
• Proven ability to recruit, train, and motivate personnel to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth.
• Must have work authorization with the ability to travel up to 30%.
