Job Description

Overview

Responsible for the design and development of new products for the fire extinguisher market.

Responsibilities

• Perform market research to understand market requirements for new product development.
• Conceptualize new product ideas by using Autodesk Inventor CAD software to design prototypes.
• Work with regulatory agencies such as : UL, FM, etc. for product approvals / compliance and associated listings.
• Conduct R&D efforts involving hands-on prototype development, function testing and required performance / verification testing.
• Maintain product continuous improvement efforts supporting production.
• Create technical documents and instruction literature.
• Ability to handle a dynamic workload : from heavy multi-tasking during peak workloads to very focused detail-oriented work during critical projects.
• High degree of attention to detail; demonstrates accuracy and self-directed, energetic, dependable, and thorough, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.
• Ability to manage scheduled projects from concept to completion within estimated timeline.
• Approximate travel 10%.
