About Our Client :

Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client, a rapidly growing healthcare organization with a centralized billing office. This team supports inpatient rehab, outpatient therapy, and long-term acute care services and is seeking a detail-oriented Refund Analyst to join their revenue cycle department.

Job Description :

We are seeking a Refund Analyst to manage credit balances, validate refund requests, and ensure accurate resolution of overpayments. This role involves reviewing patient accounts, coordinating with payors, and preparing documentation for refund processing. Candidates must be comfortable working independently in a remote environment and have experience with insurance contracts and healthcare billing systems.

Key Responsibilities :

• Review credit balances and correspondence to determine refund validity.
• Research patient accounts and process third-party and patient refunds.
• Investigate overpayments and compile documentation for resolution.
• Prepare and submit refund request forms and supporting materials.
• Validate refund requests against contract terms and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with payors, agencies, and patients to resolve discrepancies.
• Identify recurring issues and report trends to management.
• Recalculate pricing and perform manual adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate account adjudication.
• Complete post-payment variance reviews and support audit requests.
