Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer II position will support daily manufacturing, optimize manufacturing processes and work on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Continuous Improvement (CI) projects.

Job Duties

\n

  • Work with assemblers to troubleshoot production line issues.

\n

  • Leads projects, provides project plans, schedules, deliverables and communicates project status with stakeholders.
  • \n

  • Owns drawing / model updates and generates Change Orders.
  • \n

  • Designing tools / fixtures in SolidWorks.
  • \n

  • Supports NCR, CAPA, SCN activities, working with Quality Engineering and other functions as assigned.
  • \n

  • Supports validation of equipment and processes as required (TMV / IQ / OQ / PQ).
  • \n

  • Demonstrates good judgement in selecting manufacturing techniques and test methods and understands limitations in materials and equipment.
  • \n

  • Applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes.
  • \n

  • Analyzing NCR data to understand defects and drive root cause projects.
  • \n

  • Participation in cross function project teams.
  • \n

  • Perform operator training for new and existing processes.
  • \n

  • Follows GWIs, GSOPS and owns MPs to ensure control of product / process design to maintain high quality.
  • \n

  • Supports testing in lab, writing & executing protocols and report writing.
  • \n

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
  • \n \n

    Job Qualifications

    Required : \n

  • Bachelor degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • \n

  • Minimum 2+ years of related experience or 0 - 2 years with MS.
  • \n

  • Proficiency Required : SolidWorks, Fixtures / tooling design, Technical writing skills.
  • \n

  • Experience with risk management documentation.
  • \n

  • Experience using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
  • \n \n

    Preferred : \n

  • Statistical analysis and Minitab.
  • \n

  • Programming skills (hardware programming, Labview).
  • \n

  • Metallurgy / plastics / materials expertise.
  • \n

  • Project management skills.
  • \n

  • Knowledge plastic injection moulding.
  • \n \n

    The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $81,039.00 - $109,402.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
