The Weekend Anchor / MSJ position at TEGNA offers an exciting opportunity to lead our top-rated newscasts in South Texas. We are seeking a passionate, driven individual to anchor our weekend evening newscasts and contribute as a multi-skilled journalist during the week.

Responsibilities :

Anchor weekend evening newscasts and fill-in on other newscasts

Shoot, write, edit, and produce multi-platform stories three days a week

Develop community contacts and enterprise original stories

Contribute to coverage across broadcast, digital, and social channels

Assist in story development and production with the team

Participate in community events and public appearances

Qualifications :

Minimum of 3 years on-air experience

Ability to work various shifts including nights, early mornings, and weekends

Journalism or Mass Communication degree preferred

Knowledge of Texas / regional areas is a plus

Experience with ENPS and Edius preferred
