American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med / Surg Tele float pool position requiring prior travel nursing experience and an active ID or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Med / Surg Telemetry float pool within a hospital acute care settingFloat to multiple Med / Surg and Telemetry units across facilities in Boise, Meridian, and NampaNurse to patient ratios are typically 1 : 5 on Med / Surg unitsShift is 7p to 7a with every other weekend requiredNo on-call responsibilityFloating may occur at any time during the shift to different units or facilities within specialtyUses Epic EMR systemNo specific scrub color required; attire must be clean and professionalRNs only float within their specialty and may be assigned to any of seven Med / Surg units across facilitiesFloat pool has strong nurse leadership support with assistant managers and educators availableTravelers are given unit assignments via an app approximately one hour before their shiftA charge nurse is present on all units and an assistant manager is on call 24 / 7Patient care techs are present on most units with varying ratiosInitial orientation includes a meet and greet and three inpatient orientation shiftsSafe and easy parking is available at all facility locationsHoliday coverage may be required as needed\n \n Requirements\n
Active ID or compact RN license required at the time of considerationMinimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg or Telemetry experiencePrevious travel nursing experience requiredCurrent BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC) requiredDriver’s license requiredMust provide two references : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 yearsPermanent employees must have a one-year separation before applying for a travel assignmentCandidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility\n Benefits\n
