Job Description & Requirements Specialty : CVOR Discipline : RN Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel We are seeking a highly skilled, travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our cardiovascular surgical team on a 13-week contract in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). The ideal candidate will be experienced in high-acuity cardiovascular surgical cases, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and ready to hit the ground running. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the OR team for cardiovascular procedures (e.g., valve repair, CABG, TAVR) Prepare the operating room : ensure instruments, supplies, and advanced cardiovascular equipment are set and functioning Scrub and / or circulate during cardiovascular surgical procedures, maintain sterile field and infection-control protocols Monitor patient status : vitals, hemodynamics, ensure patient safety throughout intraoperative and immediate post-operative periods Transfer patients to post-anesthesia care or ICU as required, provide hand-off and documentation Maintain accurate patient and procedural documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards Participate in pre-procedure briefings, post-procedure debriefings, and process improvements Qualifications & Requirements Current, unencumbered RN license in [State] or eligible for compact / multi-state licensure Minimum 1-2 years of recent experience in a CVOR or cardiovascular surgical OR environment. Many agencies / facilities expect this for travel assignments.
